Scholarships for older women can help any woman who has not gotten her college degree the ability to finally go back to school. My mother went to college when she was 45 years old and she did not have the money to pay for schooling, so she looked into scholarships for older women that awarded her money.

She immediately paid for her tuition and bought her books in advance and began to study. She studied all night and every day before her semester began because she was working a full-time job and did not feel that she could undergo the stress of working, taking care of us, and getting good grades. So she began to work ahead of schedule.
I immediately began researching how many jobs were available for her. I noticed that in October that there were a least 20,000 people expected to be given jobs, just that month. We were a slight recession as we are now during these times. This gave her hope and me hope as well. I also found a percentage breakdown of different industries and how many people were applying for them.
Manufacturing was up .5%
Services that service the trade industry- This was up 1.7%
Government-government job applications was up 19.8%. This is mostly due to the great benefits that a government job can give you.
This job outlook that I found helped give her the hope that she needed that she would get hired.
