Sammy College Scholarship Award - Do You Like Milk

The "Got Milk" Sammy College Scholarship is available for financially needy students who qualify. It is sponsored by USA Today and SAMMY, providing each student who is accepted with $7500 for a college education. Each year there are 25 students awarded this amount, providing them with a way of attending a college or university to pursue a degree in a certain area of study. There are certain requirements that you will want to look at before moving on and applying, just so you will be able to make sure that you do not waste your time on a scholarship you have no chance of getting.
This scholarship is the result of the "Got Milk?" campaign as well as USA Today's effort to encourage people of all ages to go back to school to earn a degree of some sort. Part of the qualification process is writing an essay of 75 words or less on how drinking milk plays an important part in every day life as well as a person's health and training. Each winner receives funds for college in the amount of $7,500 and is invited to attend an award's ceremony at The Milk House which is part of Disney's Wide World of Sports.
Because not everyone who applies will be accepted, you will need to demonstrate an outstanding desire and passion for learning and earning a degree. Part of doing this is getting good grades in high school and writing a well thought out essay for the Got Milk scholarship that will provide you with a large part of the money that you will need to get on the fast track to a better life in terms of a career.
The website whymilk.com has all of the information you will need regarding this scholarship and all of the details which apply. You must also be participating or have participated recently in a school sport or club. In order to qualify you must also be scheduled to graduate at the end of the school year as well as already being enrolled in an accredited college or university for the fall semester.
